Description

Enhance your decor with α Greek Amphora from Archaic period 6th century BC . Amphora was Ancient greek vase used for storing wine and olive
Fisrt side:Leda and the Swan is a story and subject in art from Greek mythology in which the god Zeus, in the form of a swan, seduces (or in some versions, rapes) Leda.According to later Greek mythology, Leda bore Helen and Polydeukes, children of Zeus, while at the same time bearing Cstor and Clytemnistra, children of her husband Tyndareus, the King of Sparta. It is subtly suggested that Clytemnestra, although being the daughter of Tyndareus, has somehow been traumatized by what the swan has done to her mother. According to many versions of the story, Zeus took the form of a swan and seduced Leda, on the same night she slept with her husband King Tyndareus. In some versions, she laid two eggs from which the children hatched. In other versions, Helen is a daughter of Nemesis, the goddess who personified the disaster that awaited those suffering from the pride of Hubris.Second side: It is shows Triton. Triton is a Greek god of the sea, the son of Poseidon and Amphitrite, god and goddess of the sea respectively. Triton lived with his parents, in a golden palace on the bottom of the sea. Later he was often depicted as having a conch shell he would blow like a trumpet.Triton is usually represented as a merman, with the upper body of a human and the tailed lower body of a fish Net weight: 1,1 kgr(2,43lbr), Height:26cm (10,14in) HAND MADE AND HAND PAINTED IN GREECE / SAFE PACKAGE This product is accompanied by a certificated that are HAND MADE from the start to finish .From the moment being clay and gets up on the wheel, the banking in the furnace, the background creation, the strip the design, the decoration and the finish. We strive to capture and disseminate worldwide the style and culture of our ancestors .The Philosophy of the Company is to create customers that are fully satisfied with the qualityy of our work, but also with our professionalism and consistency, with the aim of buying again and again. We have been shipped small and large orders at all over the world for many years since 1986. Vines are climbing up the mast and dolphins are swimming around the ship. This painting is meant to remind the beholder of a well-known myth told of the god: Dionysus had been captured by pirates and carried off to their ship. At sea, however, the god appeared to the men in his true guise, whereupon the men, seized with panic, jumped into the sea and were transformed by Dionysus into dolphins
